The Results Reading Club Issue #2

New interesting reads, every month

I love to read, and I often find myself surrounded by avid readers. Which is excellent. I have been lucky enough to be on the receiving end of some excellent recommendations in recent months.  Not just those related to fitness and food, but also fantastic stories and books on all sorts of topics.

Here’s the best of a selection of recent reads. Enjoy!

Leonardo Da Vinci by Walter Isaacson

Biographies from Isaacson span some incredible people, this is the latest one I read and I loved the detail. Following Leonardo throughout his life, it covers the human story and not just the great works he’s known for. Not a light read, but very very interesting.

Street Smarts by Norm Brodsky

Based on a monthly column in Inc. magazine, this is an absolute treasure trove of insights, experience and answers to challenging business questions.

Breathe by James Nestor

Who would have thought breathing through your nose was so bad for you? From self experiments to visiting top experts, Nestor lives a rollercoaster journey of understanding how we breathe, and how we should actually breathe. Summary - slowly and through our nose.

The Year of Living Danishly by Helen Russell

Ever thought about living abroad for a year? This book details the experience of a couple relocating from London to Denmark. Heart warming, and insightful. Also features a lot of pastry chat, which makes it a winner for me.

To Pixar and Beyond by Lawrence Levy

Stories of amazing companies are often told from the perspective of the celebrity leader, but what about from the viewpoint of someone who stays out of the spotlight? Yet someone was at the very heart of making Pixar and the film Toy Story a reality.
